How Coastal Veranda Parlour Started
Three figures explain most of it: one warehouse, one river, one evening repeated for years.
One Warehouse, Two Trades

The building on Reibey Street held milk cans and cream before it held a single card table, built as a dairy company's river store in the years before refrigerated transport.
When the dairy trade moved elsewhere, the warehouse stood mostly empty for a decade, its brick walls the only thing that didn't change.
Coastal Veranda Parlour took the space over and kept the shape of the building almost exactly — seven bays became seven tables.

From Dairy Store to Card Room
| Period | The Building | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Early years | Dairy company river store | Milk cans loaded straight off the river punts |
| Later decade | Left mostly empty | Brick and beams kept, little else changed |
| Recent years | Reopened as Coastal Veranda Parlour | Seven bays became seven card tables |
